Welcome to West Hills Community College District!
West Hills College Coalinga is located in Coalinga, California. Our mission is to commit college-wide staff and resources to the student learning process and to provide educational, cultural, and economic development opportunities to our current and future students and the local and global communities that it serves.
The college offers courses to its students at its main campus and at the North District Center, Firebaugh, an extension of West Hills College Coalinga. WHCC was the original West Hills College established in 1932.
WHCC offers 41 programs of study and 18 certificates in areas such as administration of justice, agriculture science technology, business, child development, computer information systems, office management and technology, performing arts, social work, and teaching.
Students can take classes in person or online.
West Hills College Coalinga offers men’s baseball, basketball, and football; women’s softball and volleyball; and a coed rodeo team. The athletic program attracts athletes from throughout the country.
The campus is home to many student organizations, including Associated Student
Body, Trio, and Student Support Services.
The college’s performing arts department produces several plays and events each semester.
Students truly can have the “college experience” by living on campus. West Hills is one of only 12 community colleges in California to offer Residence Halls. The women’s dormitory houses 50 individuals while the men’s dormitory houses 113 individuals.
West Hills is fully accredited and offers transfer assistance to the University of California, the California State Universities, and other four-year colleges.
